On Friday, 12-year-old Barron Trump joined his father, President Donald Trump and mother, First Lady Melania Trump on a holiday trip, marking the first time he has accompanied his parents publicly since August. The family will be spending their Thanksgiving holiday at the Trumps’ Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida.

The 5’11″St. Andrew’s middle school student was seen on the South Lawn of the White House wearing a tailored suit jacket and overcoat, smiling and waving to reporters. St. Andrew’s is located in Potomac, Maryland.

Barron was absent at the annual presidential turkey pardoning held earlier on Friday, but did not attend the turkey pardoning in 2017 either. Barron was also absent from the arrival of the White House Christmas tree on November 19th, which he was present for last year. Thus far, the only White House event Baron has participated in this year was in April at the Easter Egg Roll

First Lady Melania Trump strives to keep Barron out of the media spotlight, hence why we have not seen him joining his parents at very many public appearances this year.

Earlier this year, an article in gossip website Hollywood Life noted that Melania was concerned about Barron being bullied at school and having to constantly defend his father.

Barron is “reportedly getting bullied for his father’s current problems. ‘Worst of all, her heart breaks for her son who gets regularly teased at school and has a hard time defending his father to his classmates,’ the insider shared,” Hollywood Life writes. “It’s so unfortunate for someone so young and innocent to have to deal with that so we definitely hope that Barron and Melania feel better soon,” the magazine continues.

The Daily Caller also added fuel to the fire when in August 2017 a controversial piece was written about Barron’s wardrobe choices in which President Trump’s youngest son was accused of not
“dressing like he is in the White House.” In the article, there were photos of the then-11-year-old having just stepped off Air Force One sporting khaki shorts, and a red shirt that read “On Your Mark Tiger Shark,” just like any other preteen boy would wear.

Melania knows just how cruel the media and internet trolls can be, and apparently a young boy who is still in middle school is fair game for attacks from vile individuals who all clearly suffer from major inferiority complexes.

We hope to see more of Barron attending events with the President and First Lady in the future, if for no other reason than to watch him grow and possibly surpass his father’s height of 6’3″ during President Trump’s years in the White House.
