Today it was suggested by the Kremlin that it is very likely for a brief conversation to be held between President Donald J. Trump and President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines during the G20 Summit in Japan.

An official meeting has not been set by the White House to date and Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov told reporters:

We have no information about a formal meeting between Putin and Trump in Osaka. Washington has not made any suggestions, nor has it taken any initiative on confirming such a meeting.

Last week President Trump had stated that he might meet with Purin in Japan in late June. In facts, President Trump said the same thing in May and when we reached out to our Kremilin sources their statement was:

A meeting has not been formally set up between the two leaders.
