David Carbonaro, who is awaiting trial in Deleware County on 68 counts including and not limited to disseminating and possession of child pornography was the ex-boyfriend of Kayla Parker, 26, of Dayton Ohio. When Carbonaro, 25, was arrested he identified the child according to the affidavit, to be Kayla Parker’s child. Carbonaro described the barrage of photos as a “photo shoot” which included video files, according to Fox News. One specific image included a woman’s hand reaching into the underwear of the toddler and apparently touching her genital area.
Parker, allegedly sexually abused and exploited her toddler in Upper Darby, PA. just outside of Philadelphia.
Pennsylvania Attorney General Shapiro said :
“This is an egregious case – a mother who preyed upon and sexually abused her own three-year-old daughter”
Parker has been arrested and returned to Pennsylvania to face charges she created pornographic images of her 3-year-old daughter. According to the affidavit, Parker told Special agents, John Rodriguez and William Jones, with the Ohio Office of the Attorney General who interviewed her that she on numerous occasions would undress her toddler, and escorted the girl to a bedroom where she would close the door leaving them alone.
Furthermore, according to the affidavit, Parker also identified the hand in the victim’s underwear as her own. She also admitted it “was south” of where it should have been on the victim, according to the affidavit. She claimed that she put her hand on the victim on more than one occasion at Carbonaro’s direction and said he would often masturbate while watching her abuse the young girl, according to the affidavit.
Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro and Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine announced Tuesday that 26-year-old Kayla Parker of Dayton, Ohio, was charged with sexual abuse, exploitation of children and other offenses.
“The crimes that this (woman) is accused of are absolutely appalling, and although she may have believed that she left her alleged crimes behind her when she moved to Ohio, we were pleased to assist Pennsylvania Attorney General Shapiro to find, interview, and arrest the defendant on these allegations,” said DeWine in the release. “My office’s Crimes Against Children Unit works every day to keep kids safe and hold predators accountable, and we are happy to have helped Pennsylvania authorities with their investigation.”
On Monday, October 15, 2018, Parker was preliminarily arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Harry J. Karapalides and being held at Concord county prison after failing to post the 10 percent of the $1 Million bail set by the judge. Her preliminary hearing is on October 26, 2018, before Magisterial District Judge Christopher Mattox and the Deputy AG Michelle Laucella is prosecuting.
