Article III of the Constitution establishes the federal judiciary. Article III, Section I states that “The judicial Power of the United States, shall be vested in one supreme Court, and in such inferior Courts as the Congress may from time to time ordain and establish.” Although the Constitution establishes the Supreme Court, it permits Congress to decide how to organize it. Congress first exercised this power in the Judiciary Act of 1789. This Act created and established the lower federal court system.

Our Supreme Court as depicted by Article III of our Constitution is the most important tool for upholding all aspects of our US Constitution. To function 9 Supreme Court Justices (originally 6) are needed to create opinions and rules in matters that effect our whole nation.
Most eloquently put and with simple understanding the role of the Supreme Court and it’s Justices is simple:
The Supreme Court is like a referee on a football field. The Congress, the President, the state police, and other government officials are the players. Some can pass laws, and others can enforce laws. But all exercise power within certain boundaries. These boundaries are set by the Constitution. As the “referee” in the U.S. system of government, it is the Supreme Court’s job to say when government officials step out-of-bounds.

As a concerned citizen, as many are, the prolonged and secretive absence of SCJ Ruth Bader Ginsburg is alarming. Her lack of appearance, health concerns and bed side opinions imply that our Supreme Court is not functioning as intended by law and possibly compromised.
Yesterday a report of RBG out and about was published yet in 2019 NOT one picture of her presence? Persons attending the event also verified she was NOT there. Why is this being circulated? It is for that reason that we ask for a WELFARE CHECK.
A police welfare check is defined by Black’s Law Dictionary as :
As citizens of the United States we demand an independent Welfare Check as the concerns of the secretive and misleading reporting surrounding RBG indicate our Supreme Court may be compromised.
If she is ill, her condition requires medications. Some medications for the condition reported may include pain medications (opioids or other), stimulation medications, strong antibiotics and others that have side effects such as hindering the ability to take legal decisions. If a police officer or military member were on the medications she is on would they be allowed to execute their duties? How many times have you been to the dentist? Got sick with a pneumonia and your doctor or pharmacist tell you to NOT operate heavy machinery or make legal decisions?
This notion is alarming for two reasons:
- Is RBG making decisions when there is a strong possibility her mental faculties are hindered?
- If not, Who is formulating her opinions?
It is imperative that we figure out the state of RBG or cease all Supreme Court activities on the schedule until her actual condition is known. As in the case of a neighbor; If you don’t see them for a while you can call the police for WELFARE CHECK , why can we not demand the same for our Supreme Court Justice? HIPAA? We don’t need to know the details – we just need to know she has a pulse and is capable of executing her duties from bedside. No SELF-REPORTING, but an actual WELFARE check from an independent physician appointed by OUR President. Perhaps, the Surgeon General ? Someone, that will provide a report of her actual state both mental and physical.
I believe a welfare check is imperative as her opinions formulate and shape our legal system, which is an integral part of our nation’s foundations. I am already concerned with the opinions already contributed and if OUR suspicions are warranted should indeed be scrutinized.
