Rapper 21 Savage is actually Sha Yaa Bin Abraham-Joseph. He is a UK national and was arrested in an operation with local law enforcement early Sunday February 3 in metro Atlanta.

Mr. Abraham-Joseph, aka 21 Savage was convicted on felony drug charges in October 2014 in Fulton County, Georgia. His case is quite curious.

The rapper 21 Savage, 26, has purported and claimed to be from Atlanta and for a long time has been considered to be a local. In the fall of 2018, he gave free school supplies to more than 2,500 DeKalb County school students.

Mr. Abraham-Joseph initially entered the U.S. legally in July 2005, but subsequently failed to depart under the terms of his non-immigrant visa and he became unlawfully present in the U.S. when his visa expired in July 2006. In addition to being in violation of federal immigration law, Mr. Abraham-Joseph was convicted on felony drug charges in October 2014 in Fulton County, Georgia.

Mr. Abraham-Joseph is presently in ICE custody in Georgia and has been placed into removal proceedings before the federal immigration courts. ICE will now await the outcome of his case before a federal immigration judge to determine future actions

ICE spokesman Bryan Cox told WSB-TV Atlanta

Savage 21 performed last Thursday at the Super Bowl Music Fest at the State Farm Arena.

His attorney describes him as a “role model” in an interview with TMZ. Personally, I fail to see how lying about where you come from, being a convicted felon and rapping about drugs and murder is a role model.

We are working diligently to get Mr. Abraham-Joseph out of detention while we work with authorities to clear up any misunderstanding. Mr. Abraham-Joseph is a role model to the young people in the country — especially in Atlanta, Georgia, and is actively working in the community leading programs to help underprivileged youths in financial literacy.

Chatter from our sources in the UK say that 21 Savage was brought to the United States by “relatives” at the age of 12 and had flown under the radar ever since utilizing assumed identities. His bank accounts are in “friends” names.

EVEN his MOM has a British Accent

I always asked him why he never had anything in HIS name and used other people’s information to obtain banking details. I told him what he was doing was illegal and he kept telling me his managers or some relative manages his stuff. I left his “crew” when he got deep in with some people nobody should be rolling with back in 2013.

Illegal immigration isn’t just from our Southern Border, there are millions that come into our country with valid visas and decide never to leave when they expire hoping to get clemency or granted citizenship by demonstrating the need for asylum. If 21 Savage is an overstay and he was only 12-13 when he was brought into the country does that make him a “Dreamer”? If so, as a “successful” rapper, why did he never try to get US citizenship before he committed a felony? After committing a felony he has no claim to the “Dreamer” path which means he should, by law be deported and barred from entry again.
