It shouldn’t strike anyone as odd that from her own state the Justice Department arrested three Michigan Residents Arrested for Conspiracy to Provide Material Support to ISIS on January 22, 2019.
Three residents of Lansing, Michigan, were arrested without incident Monday afternoon for conspiring to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization, namely the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS). The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Michigan charged all three in a criminal complaint filed today in U.S. District Court in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The conspiracy charge is punishable by up to 20 years in federal prison.
All three defendants are naturalized U.S. citizens who were born in Kenya and have been brought into the United States by refugee programs that are offered through elaborate, complex, and tax funded organizations like Lutheran Social Services – which is the same organization that brought Ilhan Omar from Somalia.
According to the complaint affidavit, Muse Muse purchased airline tickets earlier this month to travel from Grand Rapids to Mogadishu. Why would a Kenyan, if they really are Kenyan as Lutheran Social Services have many issues confirming the identities of their refugees going to Somalia? Why are we still accepting refugees from Somalia if ISIS is recruiting globally and meeting in Somalia?
He was departing on Monday, January 21, 2019. Among other support, the complaint alleged Haji and Mohamud Muse aided in the purchase of the ticket and drove Muse Muse to the Grand Rapids airport, each knowing the true purpose of the travel was for Muse Muse to join and fight for ISIS.
We have reached out to Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s office for comment but have yet to receive a response at the time of the article. Rashida was asked to comment on the actions of these Michigan residents and to condemn ISIS.
