Two homes were searched in Anderson, Missouri, on Tuesday where the police seized 1 gun, 58 grams of methamphetamine, a stolen horse trailer, a stolen ATV, and one frozen bald eagle.

Yes, you read that right–a dead bald eagle was located in the freezer of 65-year-old James Kivett who had outstanding warrants in Newton County, with new charges pending for items found during the raid, according to KSFM TV.

The McDonald County Sheriff’s Office, Anderson Police Department, and the Ozarks Drug Enforcement Team worked together to serve the two search warrants, according to FourStatesHomePage.com.

In the United States, it is a federal crime to kill a bald eagle or golden eagle–but what about possessing a bald eagle, whether alive or deceased– is that also illegal?
